Practi-Insulin Human R simulates regular human insulin, available under product names such as Humulin® R and Actrapid®, while Practi-Insulin Isophane simulates isophane/NPH human insulin, available under product names such as Humulin® N and Insulatard®.

The Practi-Insulin Isophane in the pack contains an additive that mimics the action of its real medication counterpart and must be rotated, mixed, and promptly withdrawn before it precipitates. The pack contains 20 Practi-Insulin Human R and 20 Practi-Insulin Isophane vials.
