This flat coil is mounted in a rotatably mounted frame made of acrylic. In conjunction with the Helmholtz coil pair (item no.: 1000906), alternating voltage is induced when the flat coil rotates in the magnetic field of the Helmholtz coils. This voltage is tapped using sliding contacts. A cord pulley and a hand crank on the axle of the rotatable frame are used to drive the coil.
