The Moll thermopile is a sensitive probe for measuring blackbody radiation or thermal radiation from a Leslie cube. The reflection of long-wavelength thermal radiation can also be investigated.

Installed in a metal housing with a polished conical reflector, the thermopile contains a black absorber area with a diameter of 15 mm to which 17 thermocouples are connected. Incident thermal radiation generates a thermoelectric voltage U at the thermocouples, which is proportional to the intensity of the thermal radiation.
With two 4 mm safety sockets, mounted on a stem.
