The vibration generator is designed to generate mechanical waves for demonstrating and investigating oscillations and resonances in classroom instruction and university lab courses.

The vibration generator consists of a speaker housed in a sturdy plastic case. The speaker is fitted with a mounting pin featuring a 4 mm socket for transmitting vibration to a wide range of experimental setups. On the rear side of the apparatus is a support rod holder (up to 8 mm Ø) for demonstrating standing waves using a helical spring.
The generator is equipped with overload protection for reliable operation in classroom instruction and university lab courses.

The vibration generator can be equipped with helical springs, Chladni plates, elastic cords, resonance wire loops, and other accessories for a wide range of experiments involving oscillations, standing waves, and resonance phenomena. The attached accessories can be excited into vibration and used for qualitative demonstrations as well as quantitative investigations in classroom instruction and university lab courses. These accessories are available separately from 3B Scientific (see "recommended products" on this page).
