Only after two to three days of continuous wearing does the brain adapt to the altered visual information and correct perception until full ability to act is restored.
When the participant takes off the glasses again, the world is paradoxically upside down once more – however, readaptation takes less time.

Two isosceles right-angle prisms, each rotatable through 360°, are mounted in a fully shielded spectacle frame made of flexible plastic. They produce a lateral inversion of the ray path. Top and bottom, as well as left and right, can be interchanged. Ventilation slots in the goggle frame ensure that the prisms do not fog up.
