Practi-Insulin Regular simulates regular human insulin, available under product names such as Humulin® R and Actrapid®, while Practi-Insulin NPH simulates isophane/NPH human insulin, available under product names such as Humulin® N and Insulatard®.

The Practi-Insulin NPH in the pack contains an additive that mimics the action of its real medication counterpart and must be rotated, mixed, and promptly withdrawn before it precipitates. The pack contains a total of 40 vials: 20 Practi-Insulin Regular and 20 Practi-Insulin NPH.
