This sensor is used:..
• to analyze the magnetic fields of air-core solenoids
• to analyze the magnetic fields of Helmholtz coils
• to verify the Biot–Savart law (item no.: 8001178)

The magnetic flux density in the axial and transverse directions is analyzed using this magnetic field sensor. A Hall sensor is located at the probe tip at the end of the probe wand and provides an output signal proportional to the operating voltage. The sensor is equipped with two range buttons, one tare button, and a visual indicator for the currently active measuring range.
