The ESCOLA 30 is a high-quality educational analog multimeter with a mirrored scale. It is specially designed for analog current and voltage measurement in class, training, and university laboratory courses.

With this multimeter, current and voltage measurements can be carried out for DC and AC quantities; for DC quantities, center-zero measurements are also possible. Alternating current and alternating voltage can be measured up to a signal frequency of 40 kHz. All measuring ranges are selected using a rotary switch. When switching between the measuring ranges, connected electric circuits are not interrupted. Therefore, measurements on voltage converters, for example, can be carried out without induction impulses. Resistance R, conductance G, impedance Z, and admittance Y can easily be determined as quotients thanks to uninterruptible switching between current and voltage measurement without reconnecting the test leads.
The use of a robust core-magnet movement and an impact-resistant housing allows operation even under demanding conditions. Therefore, the device is suitable as a student measurement device for all grade levels.

Unlike the ESCOLA 100 (item no. 1013527; max. 10 A AC/DC, max. 600 V AC/DC), the ESCOLA 30 allows current and voltage measurement for DC and AC quantities up to 3 A AC/DC and 30 V AC/DC, respectively, ensuring safe use by students or apprentices.

• In the event of overload in the current ranges, automatic power limitation is activated. After brief thermal relaxation, the device automatically switches on again. 
• The electronic overload protection is achieved without instrument fuses, eliminating the need for inconvenient fuse replacement and spare parts requirements. Nevertheless, the protection operates without auxiliary power and is ensured even with a discharged or missing battery.
• The analog multimeter ESCOLA 30 complies with the safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use according to DIN EN 61010-1, protection class II.
• The device is classified in measurement category CAT I up to 30 V.
• The device is not approved for measurements on low-voltage branch circuit distribution systems such as wall outlets, fuses, etc. The rated voltage must not exceed 30 V.
