The electrolysis apparatus consists of two graduated gas-collection tubes connected by flexible plastic hoses. A leveling bulb provides pressure equalization for precise gas-volume measurement. The apparatus is mounted on a stand with a retaining plate, and GL thread connection ensures secure electrode attachment.

To protect the platinum electrode and ensure reliable performance of the electrolysis apparatus, do not leave the platinum electrode in the liquid after an experiment. After each experiment, remove the electrode and dry it thoroughly. When rinsing the electrode, make sure that no water enters the 4 mm safety sockets, as they are not waterproof.
