A big model of a magnetic needle: 100 mm with angular protractor 0 to 360°. Metallic strap of the needle fitted with two 4 mm terminals for the passage of an electric current.
The strap is joined with an axle to orient the “needle + clamp + protractor” assembly with respect to the earth. A holder (145 × 90 mm) helps keep the “compass” stable.
